This will enable
you to use a specific altiport such as Courchevel. A mountain
altiport has special characteristics. It has a short runway
and a steep slope 12% increasing 18 % here at Courchevel.
Take-off and landings are made in opposing directions, if
you take-off down the slope and land up-hill .

Duration:
- 2 hours 30 : Ground
School
- 4 - 5 hours : Flight training
You need to allow
a total of at least 3 days to learn about the terrain, the
aerology and about the effects of the sun and wind in a mountain
environment.

temperature.
- Initiation into mountain navigation and training to enable
safe passage of passes and peaks
- Consequences of local anomalies e ffecting control of trajectories
in circuits, final approach, and landing..

- Take-off
- Precautions to be taken
For your "Authorisation
of Site" to remain current, no more than 6 months must elapse
without use of the altiport.
Thereafter a new
endorsement will be required.
